C.i.r.y.u.s (pronounced serious) the Modern Marvel has been making music since middle school. C.i.r.y.u.s is also an acronym for crazy individual rocking you uniquely through speakers. Learning guitar, Rhythm, and poetic structures, Ciryus formed a love for music. Leaning towards underground music such as tech n9ne, insane clown posse, immortal technique, influenced his style, patterns , and creative word play. Also with guitar inspired speed and the raw rock attitude.
Talking about politics, life, and just having fun; Ciryus is determined to bring hip hop back while opening the consciousness of the listeners with hard hitting metaphors, smilies, while wearing his skull war paint, which is inspired by the punisher form marvel. He dropped his first mixtape in 2015 “ I should’a left that in Albuquerque”. Followed by dropping his first single, produced, composed, and mixed by C.i.r.y.u.s and mastered in 2016 called “Capitol hill”, helped crate a way with unique political songs sneaking knowledge lost to the masses. In 2016 he also dropped his collbo cd “C.J.A collabo” (concrete jungle apes collabo) followed by his “CONTEST APES VOL.1” solidified his foundation in the music industry with top producers like Kato the producer and AKT aktion.
Performing and opening shows, he did more the 40 shows in 2016-2018. Opening spot for artists such as Litto Garcia, inspecta Deck, twisted Insane, RICKY BATS, opening for ESHAM (psychopathic records) and special guest artist for Zeus Rebels “The Born Rebel Tour”, to competitions like Mic Cub ran by Sac One of Dezert Bandits, plus many many more shows. After getting on, pandora it helped jump his status to reach out to other states like California and New York. This reach helped get not just more listeners but he got interviews from other artists/ podcasts such as Fermi Music.
In 2018, after years of performing, (40 plus shows since 2016),Ciryus decided to start hosting and running show in local venues like Leos Night club with the help from Local artist / DJ SEPSIS from Septicemia Record, Which eventually lead to hosting self ran, and self funded shows for HangMans Death Day Bash, 4/20 elevated minds show. 2019 he took a year of to focus in crafts and new projects like “All Work No Play” and “Light up ( Fuel up)”. Now With future 2020 shows booked for The Jam Spot, he determined to come back with more projects and hard hitting material.
He been called back twice to be apart of the judging panel in the popular Southwest 16 (https://www.facebook.com/TheSouthwest16/), hosted and ran by T.I.O (The inspired one) artists omega and Vile which feature battle rounds from other up and coming New Mexican artists.
